TURNING STONE RESORT & CASINO, NY, June 5, 2007: Dr Gloria Spitalny of MasterGolf.com is the first woman to represent the United States in the International Pairs Golf Tournament World Finals in St. Andrew, Scotland. She is joined by Jim Collins. Together, they won the ING conference qualifying tournament which took place on June 5th at beautiful Turning Stone's Kaluhyat Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. For winning, Dr. Gloria and Jim Collins will receive a trip to St. Andrews to compete in the July 1-3 global competition at St. Andrews Bay Resort against nearly three dozen other countries. The duo's airfare, three nights accommodations and some meals will be sponsored by ING and International Pairs. Dr. Gloria is currently adding additional sponsors for the UK televised event. "I am really excited about the opportunity to represent the US and compete for the International Pairs World Title. My goal is to win!" said Dr. Gloria Spitalny in a telephone interview. "For over a decade, I have been working with Tour players on performance issues and sports psychology. This past weekend, we won because of our mental games. We stayed focused on one shot, one hole at a time and didn't let the course beat them up as it did to all the other players." For the fourth consecutive year, the International Network Of Golf Spring Conference produced the team that will represent the United States in the International Pairs World Finals in St. Andrew, Scotland. The International Network Of Golf, a 17-year-old non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to bring together members of the media and business communities to enhance communication in golf. "We are delighted to once again be working with the ING," said Ross Honey, Founder of the 8-year-old International Pairs competition Honey, whose event has been a huge success in Europe and in dozens of other countries across the globe.
